Words from heart
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
It was a great happiness when you gathered with your family members especially during the Eid. It feels like you do not want any happiness in this world except when you are with them, together. Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha to all Muslims in the world. May Allah bless us always. Sometimes I feel like I am a younger sister for a family, and I do have big brothers. In a real world, I am actually the eldest sister and I am a leader for my family as I am the beginner of everything for my siblings until my second sister said, “I’m tired for being the eldest, it has been so long time since you fall sick, I can feel the stress that father put on me to be successful in life as a teacher and then being a noticeable example for younger siblings,”
For me my dad never push or put me on stressful situation, it is actually his job as a father to make sure that all of his children have motivation to be succeed in life and learning, is our job as a student. My uncles, especially Che Awie, Che We and Ayah Sam are like big brothers for me. Every brother will try their best to protect their female siblings and that is what they are doing to my siblings and I. That is why I never feel the stress for being the eldest because my uncles are my big brothers, so once you hear a girl does not has any brother or male members in her family except her father you better watch out because her uncles is her big brothers.
A night before Aidiladha, I had a dream and it was before the dawn. I dreamt of a guy that I hated most during at school but I cannot remember much of it. Once, I had wished that the guy-whom-I hate most will get the punishment in his life but sometimes I know that what we see is not absolutely true. There’s a meaning of an ayah in al-Quran describing that we have to love something in an average way, because one day it might be the thing that you hate most and vice versa. I leave the rest to Allah, I know that I am not the one who should judge a person. Maybe he is better than me and maybe Allah love him more than He love me. I am a woman and I am not actually a pious woman, I just do what I have to do as a Muslim and I live my life as a normal human being. And in order to live in a normal life, I try to forget anyone who had done badly to me and I feel calmer. Forgive and forget is now a lovely phrase that is perfectly carved in my heart.
I was attracted to an advertisement in a tv channel and it is about a Hindustan movie, My Name Is Khan. I am not a person who loves Bollywood movies too much till I can memorise the lyrics of every songs in the films but this time, I know that this is a must-see film. I still can hear when Shahrukh Khan shouted among the crowds that,
“My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist,”
When Sameer, his sole child dead, his wife blame what has happened on him, just because his name is Khan. Khan travelled to many places just to meet the President of United States and tell him that he is not a terrorist. Happiness and sadness showed up surrounding his travel, he reunited with his beloved wife and he managed to meet with Barrack Obama.
My name is Nurul, and I am not a terrorist. Being a Muslim in this world does not mean you have to be alienated from other religions. Liberal always gives meaning to freedom but for me a life without rules and syarie’ is not a real meaning of freedom, it is actually a disaster which will lead to destruction of the world. For those who never watch this film, I suggest you to watch it and see how it worth you so much.
